Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
TidyHomeHQ ("we", "us", "our") publishes home organization guides at tidyhomehq.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. We wrote this policy to be readable by visitors anywhere, including the European Union and the United Kingdom, even though our primary audience is in the United States.
1. Information we collect
TidyHomeHQ is a static content site. We do not currently run analytics software, advertising trackers, or any account/login system. As a result:
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information through this site.
- We do not use cookies of our own to track your browsing behavior.
- Our web server (and any hosting/CDN infrastructure we use) may automatically log basic technical data common to all websites, such as IP address, browser type, and page requested, for security and troubleshooting purposes. This is standard server-log data, not used for profiling or advertising.
If we later add analytics (such as a privacy-focused or Google Analytics tool) or advertising (such as Google AdSense), we will update this policy before doing so and, where required by law, request your consent via our cookie banner.
2. Amazon Associates and third-party links
TidyHomeHQ is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Our articles contain links to Amazon.com and other retailers. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon (or the relevant retailer) may set its own cookies or collect information according to its own privacy policy, independent of us. We do not receive or store any personal information about your Amazon account or purchases — we only receive anonymized, aggregated commission reporting from the affiliate program. We encourage you to review Amazon's Privacy Notice for details on their data practices.
3. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for full details. In short: TidyHomeHQ does not set tracking cookies of its own today. A small consent banner uses your browser's local storage (not a cookie) solely to remember that you dismissed the notice.
4. Children's privacy
TidyHomeHQ is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar laws)
Because we do not collect or store personal data through this site, there is generally nothing to access, correct, delete, or export. If you believe we hold information about you or have questions about how third parties like Amazon process your data through our affiliate links, contact us using the details below and we will help however we can, including forwarding requests to the relevant third party where appropriate. Visitors in the EU/UK have rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) and California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; these rights apply primarily to data controllers who actually hold personal data, which in our current setup is limited to standard server logs.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site evolves (for example, if we add analytics or advertising). We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
